No, I did not make up that name. The name actually is Ferrari 812 Superfast. This is a new offering from Ferrari to create an even more awesome Supercar than ever before. The Superfast is a front engine, rear wheel drive, Grand Touring edition sports car. This car made its debut in Geneva at the Geneva Motor Show in 2017.
This drifting, snarling, beast of a car has a 6.5 liter (396 cubic inches) V12 that makes a staggering 789 horsepower and 530 lb ft of torque at 8,500 RPMs. This car lives with the tach buried on the right. This beast is rated as the most powerful naturally aspirated production car engine ever made, as the other cars that make that much horsepower have superchargers or turbos. The car also has a top speed of 221 miles per hour, and a 0 – 60 time of 2.8 seconds! This monster is appropriately named, for sure.
Amazing Engineering
Ferrari also says this car has the Ferrari 812 Superfast has the perfect power to weight ratio, at 0.52 hp per kg. This car is also the first to have what Ferrari calls EPS, which is Electronic Power Steering. They alo incorporated LED headlights, air vents on the hood, 4 big circular tail lights, and a rear diffuser into this new supercar. The Superfast weighs only 3,362 pounds, so it is light for a car with that much horsepower. Watch a video about in on the Ferrari website to see this monster in action.
