Laraki Motors Epitome Concept Car

Another wild concept car that has recently emerged is the Laraki Motors Epitome Supercar Concept Car. This is another example of how too much is never quite enough. This car is definitely the “Epitome” of what a supercar could be, and perhaps should be.

This Concept Car is meant to give new meaning to the word ‘excess’, This car was built to be the most extreme car ever, and it seems to have met that goal just with the body alone. Even if it doesn’t move, it is a work of art. However, this car also moves – quickly – which makes it even better.

This wild and amazing muscle car / supercar was designed and built by a yachting executive and his team. This is truly an incredible car. The Laraki Motors Epitome Supercar Concept Car was built on the idea that someone could take existing parts, customize them, add some new parts, and put all those things together in a new configuration. The end result would be a product that is greater than the sum of its parts. This idea has proven to be quite successful by other custom builders that have created such masterpieces as the Shelby Mustang, the Roush Mustang, and the Callaway Corvette, among others. The guys at Laraki took that idea to an entirely new level with the Laraki Motors Epitome Concept Car.

Wild Child With An Amazing Pedigree

This wild child Concept Car starts with the chassis of a 2005 to 2013 C6 Corvette Z06. The power behind this rig is being provided by the already mighty Corvette 7.0 liter 427-cubic-inch LS7 V8 all-aluminum engine. They did not stop there, though. No, the 505 hp that comes from the factory with that engine wasn’t good enough. The team added all new internals to beef up the engine. They gave it an aggressive cam and bigger heads. Several other modifications were also made to the internals to make it tougher and more powerful.

After they gave it a solid chassis, the team at Laraki decided to build an all-new body out of lightweight carbon fiber. If you look closely, you can see the Corvette DNA in the body design. It looks similar to the Corvette in some ways. The Ferrari Testarossa was also an obvious influence, in my opinion. The side vents in the doors are definitely inspired by that design. This is just my opinion, so look at the three photos below to see the three cars and judge for yourself.

Luxury Inside and Out

This new body, combined with the Corvette frame and the aluminum engine, gave this car a curb weight of around 2,800 pounds. Laraki wanted the car to have the latest and greatest inside, too. They outfitted the interior with brushed metal, leather, sunroof, and plenty of electronics to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable ride. The interior has the best of everything, as you would expect in an extreme supercar like this. Look at the photo below to see just how luxurious and well designed the cockpit is in this supercar. The seats look like Recaro racing seats covered in supple leather, and the steering wheel looks really cool!

It’s Alive! The monster supercar is Alive!

The car looked amazing and had luxury interior, but they still weren’t quite happy with the performance of this Frankenstein beast. The angular carbon fiber body and luxurious interior were great, but the car still wasn’t “extreme” enough. They wanted this car to be an absolutely outstanding car, the likes of which no one had ever seen before. At this point, the team decided to head back to the garage and beef it up a bit. Now, this is where the story gets really interesting.

To give this Franken-beast more power, the team at Laraki added a pair of twin turbochargers to the 427 Chevy LS7 engine, and did some ECU computer chip work. The 2 turbos and ECU computer upgrades increased horsepower considerably, but this still wasn’t good enough for these guys. They figured if 2 turbos is good, then 4 turbos must be better. They decided to go with the quad turbo configuration. This gave the Laraki Motors Epitome Supercar Concept Car massive power.

We Need More Power, Igor! MORE POWER!!!!

However, that was still not the end of the story for this crew of gearheads. The team still wasn’t satisified with the total package, so they came up with yet another idea. Hey, a quad turbo 427 big block V8 in a 2,800 pound car isn’t extreme enough, right? They decided this car would need dual gas tanks. Why on Earth would they need 2 gas tanks? This car is not designed for long road trips, The car gets an estimated 13 MPG city and 17 MPG highway, which isn’t all that bad. Those numbers are stilll better than the 1969 427 Camaro we covered recently.

One gas tank holds standard pump gas, which allows the Quad-turbocharged 427 Chevy LS7 engine to produce an astounding 1,200 horsepower. The other gas tank has 110 octane racing fuel, which can be purchased at any drag racing strip. The team also added a button on the dash that is labeled “performance mode”.. When this button is pressed, you can imagine the car saying “don’t push that button,…it makes me angry…you wouldn’t like me when I am angry”. With the touch of that button, the car gets really angry.

This Isn’t A Car, It’s A Nuclear Power Plant On Wheels

When that ‘performance mode’ button is pressed, a transformation occurs, The fuel pumps start pumping from both fuel tanks simultaneously. While that is happening, an onboard control system reprograms the ECU computer chip and spins up all 4 turbos. I hope the driver and passenger have great life insurance when that button is pressed. This single button on the dash turns this already beastly 1,200 horsepower monster into a virtual nuclear power plant. This mix of race gas and pump gas, along with the computer reprogramming and all 4 turbos spinning, produces an entirely new breed of animal. This 427 LS7 V8 now produces a ground shaking, bone rattling, unbelievable 1,750 horsepower and 1,100 lb ft of torque! NOW the guys at Laraki were happy with the horsepower of the Laraki Motors Epitome Concept Car!

The Laraki Motors Epitome Supercar Concept Car Is Born!

Think about that for a minute…one thousand, seven hundred and fifty horsepower! This car weighs less than 3,000 pounds, and it has 1,750 horsepower and 1,100 lb ft of torque. I wonder if it requires a pilots license to operate? They set out to create an example of how too much is never quite enough, and I would say they did that for sure!

If this sounds like something you need to have in your garage, rumor has it the Laraki Motors Epitome Concept Car “might” be produced. If it is made, you will want to get in line quickly to get one. They will be special order only and handmade. They made no mention of a warranty….or an insurance company willing to insure it. Oh, and the cost is just $2 million dollars, which you pay upfront when placing your order.
