71 Plum Crazy Hemi Cuda Model Car Kit
This is a model car I built a couple of years ago, but I thought I would share it anyway. Check out the video to learn more about this build. These 71 Plum Crazy Hemi Cuda real cars go for hundreds of thousands of dollars these days, so the model car kit was a much more affordable option.
This is a 1/24 Plum Crazy 426 Hemi Cuda Plastic Car Kit. This Revell-Monogram model is a skill level 2. I painted mine very similar to the box art. They actually called this color Plum Crazy at Plymouth in the early 70s. I did not invent that term. This was not a very popular color at the time, which makes them rare and valuable today.
Features and tech specs
I pretty well left this one factory and did not modify it, aside from wiring the engine. I decided to paint it exactly like the box art, and wanted to ensure I made it look basically factory. This model car kit is very well made. The parts fit together nicely, and the details are well done. I had no problems getting this kit together, and I would recommend it to anyone interested in the kit.

I built this one basically box stock, except for the wired engine. I often customize my model car kits, including building custom parts from scratch. I did some of that on my Weathered 55 Ford F100 Truck Model. Let me know what you think of this 71 Plum Crazy Hemi Cuda by commenting below!
